Via Mare Réserver une table

This restaurant was directly opposite our hotel " Santa Maria Best Western"As our hotel did not have a restaurant we had to look for alternatives.Our first night we ventured into the actual town of Isle Rousse.It is certainly in walking distance for fit persons. My husband could manage. I unfortunately not!!! So two taxi rides were involved. Normally ten euros each way. however this was 21 st June .,summer night festival. Costs were thirty euros each way.So an alternative had to be found.We decided to try The Via Mara. Best decision. We made it our local. A more friendly restaurant we could not find.The younger members of staff could speak English. Spared them our school days French! Menu was varied. Obviously fish was dominant. Excellent choice every night.It was always beautifully served,very tasty. Wine was around 27 euros. We can pay that also at home.The terrace where we sat every evening had a super view of the marina. Young families were welcome. If something as simple as a cheese and charcouterie platter was requested instead of a full meal no problem. Small digestifs given gratis when bill was settled. We would return to Isle Rousse just for the VIA MARA.

We went to this restaurant in June 2017. The food was good and not too expensive. The local wine (we had rose) was very good although at 30 Euros a bottle (which all the restaurants charge) we thought a bit pricey. Can be bought much cheaper, obviously, in the local supermarkets. Service was a little slow but as we were on holiday didn't really matter. Would recommend.

Don't even bother, waste of money, poor food, and exceptionally rude host, most likely end of season blues, but that is no excuse! Walk 5 mi Utes into town and have the choice of many better places to eat and drink!!

Although they seemed expensive at around 9 euros each, the ice creams ended up as good value as they were enormous! We sat and watched the boats in the harbour, and were still too full in the evening for dinner!

Great views and the staff efficient and helpful. But as mentioned in other reviews I think that the food whilst good was overpriced, sadly!

A 5 minutes walk in the morning along the harbourside brought us to our daily breakfast. A hot and a cold drink and "petit pain" plus a "viennoise" with butter and marmelade gave us a pleasant tart of the day for a reasonable price. The friendliness of the staff was for free and appreciated, so was the view over the sea.

Friendly staff offering excellent service. We visited this restaurant for the second time this week and the food was as delicious as our first visit. Don't agree with negative comments and would recommend.

While visiting Ile Rousse, we stopped there for lunch. This location is outside the core of the city and within limit of the port. They have a stunning view of the water and port, very good service, and pasta to die for. We were very pleased with this location and highly recommend if you arriving from the port!
