Friendly and efficient service in a modern hotel dining room. Good value, we had generous plates of charcuterie which included delicious hot melsat ( hog's pudding), brawn salad as well as good ham,pâté and salami and excellent bread. Tender duck breast with orange sauce followed, cooked exactly as requested ( rosé and à point), well- cooked vegetables ,all simply presented and without gimmicks .With a bottle of organic Ollier Taillefer red wine and coffee ,the bill was a reasonable 60€ for 2. Looking forward to our next visit!
Ate at lunchtime. Had the menu. Salad with Steak, cooked as I liked it with excellent chips and ratatouille. Lovely herb butter with the steak. Café gourmand for dessert which was excellent. Had half a bottle of rose with the meal, chosen from an extensive wine list. Sat next to the pool. Main menu selection had little choice
We ate in the garden area of the restaurant which was very pleasant. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal but service was poor. When the waiter eventually brought my husband his drink, he put it down while holding a conversation with someone at another table.We haf 3 courses with a drink for €45 which we felt was very good.
They try hard, the service is friendly, the food only ok. I had a Tagine, it tasted fine, but nothing like any Tagine I have ever had in Morocco or elsewhere. Wine list interesting, and advice on local wines was good and helpful. There's not a lot of competition in Lodève, so if I ever go back I would probably return.
