Stumbled upon this gem on our first day in Lyon, wonderful quick service made right in front of you. Would definitely recommend the caramel sauce!! Went back twice and will be sure to visit again.

We really enjoyed the galettes (sort of savoury wholemeal pancakes) sitting outside at this little restaurant, when looking for a lunch but not wanting a large meal.I can see all the negative reviews appear to be from French citizens so perhaps they feel this outlet doesn't live up to the very high culinary standards of the reputed gastronomic capital of Europe. However, great for those of us not so familiar with French cuisine and looking to sample something from a creperie type restaurant.

There were so many options of places to eat for dinner. After walking through the adorable cobblestone streets of Lyon we stumbled across this tiny restaurant which in English translates to 'When Chickens Have Teeth' (along the same line as 'when pigs fly'). A Portuguese man (head waiter) named Roger and his French wife (the chef) own this restaurant. His wife has grown up in Lyon and the food was true, authentic French cuisine. Roger was extremely helpful and friendly. The menu is a little limited with choice, but nonetheless amazing food. He recommended a local wine to accompany our dishes (we chose the lobster dish which was wrapped in something like a savoury crepe and in a creamy sauce). For starters we both had a tasty and fresh salad. For dessert - an apple pie and a custard toast. It was all absolutely delicious! Roger offered us a complimentary 'digestive' Portuguese drink afterwards, which was a spirit which tasted 90% proof! Great people-watching location right amongst it all too. We sat and drank into the evening. Such a quaint, relaxed, understated and humble restaurant with quality food. Support this couple - they deserve the business!

My wife and myself found this little "Gem" in old Orléans, while strolling through the old town looking for a restaurant with a table where my wheelchair would actually fit under, which is not all that easy to find!? Once installed, we met the waiter Rogerio (or Rogerino ;-) we found out that he is originally from Portugal and he and his wife, Shiraz, she runs the kitchen, are both trained cooks and met in cooking school, they both run this cozy little restaurant. This a real "Bouchon Lyonnais" restaurant, with an excellent menu, a nice wine selection and great deserts, all in all a very good quality/price relationship! We can only recommend the "Quand les Poules auronts des Dents" and would definitely go back to this great restaurant, if we will be back in Lyon!Edouard & Darla

Located in a most popular area, filled with restaurants, our party of four 'fell' into this small restaurant for lunch outside. What a great choice. Excellent service and food. Waiter guiding us to choose well and giving us insights regarding the local dishes. From appetizers to dessert all of us were pleased with every dish. Reasonably priced as well. We gather it is under new management, we can only rate the restaurant as it is today - PERFECT!

I just had the most pleasent surprise one can have. Having known the place for quite sometime, the new management has nailed it really, really good. The exeptionally good food in this restaurant surprises you even more when you ask for the bill - where else can you eat gourmet with such a good quality/price relationship?... Not to mention the staff that makes you feel at home - wherever you come from - with an overwhelming sympathy and effiency. Undoubtedly, a place to come back time and time again
