I accompanied business colleagues to this restaurant and was pleasantly surprised that the chef created a beautiful vegetarian plate to accommodate my diet. Delicious, too! The meat eater at the table were all very pleased. I would go again anytime.

We found Le Boeuf d'Argent after we had gone to look at Jeremy Galvan next door. (We had tried - and failed - to get in to JG which has a strange online booking system which appears to show tables are available when they are not)! While we were looking at the menu at Le Boeuf, the chef and his wife arrived for evening service and we were able to book a table. The food was absolutely superb - my Crevettes de Madagascar in particular - and the surroundings and ambience were great. Three separate groups were celebrating birthdays that evening and it was clearly a place to go for a special night out. The service was excellent. If you are looking for somewhere that does not serve the normal "more robust" Lyonnais food, this is well worth trying.

We had the absolute pleasure of lunch here and absolutely loved it. Nice quiet friendly ambience, superb food, wine and service - it's first on the list when we revisit Lyon without a doubt !

Lyon is known as a great city for food but one must be careful not to fall for the tourist traps that fill the old city. One great find is Le Boeuf d'Argent. Starting with the warm welcome from the staff, the elegant decor and the

We were with friends and decided to dine in a typical Lyonnaise Bouchon restaurant. We found Le Boeuf d'Argent while wandering throughout the lovely little streets in Lyon's old town and made a booking for our evening meal. When we arrived for our dinner the restaurant was quite busy but we were immediately attended to by the wonderful lady owner who showed us our table and took care of us for the remainder of our fantastic meal. We chose to have a degustation meal of three courses and chose from the main menu which was a complete success. Beautiful food and a very nice wine from the extensive wine list. Considering the restaurant was very busy, the service was professional and our meals were served in good time with perfect spacing between the courses. All in all it was a Michelin quality meal in a typical bouchon in this wonderful city of Lyon.

Quite by chance we found Le Boeuf D'Argent, and so glad we did. The owner lady was so welcoming and charming, and the waitress too. It was full, but they served with a smile, good sense of humour and effortless professionalism. We chose the 41€ menu which was great value. The portions were generous, presentation delightful and the food itself delicious. I had fois gras, filet de boeuf, cheese course and then chocolate dessert. Overall it is a charming restaurant with character and charm, but the food is outstanding.Reserve in advance to a avoid disappointment.

We happened upon this restaurant in Vieux Lyon and were lucky to get a table. Very popular place. The hostess is the wife of the chef and she is charming. Very welcoming. The meal was nicely paced and delicious. Lyon is reputed to be the gastronomic capital of France, and we can understand why. We do plan to return during our stay as we enjoyed it so much. Go if you can. You will not regret it
