Visited La Terrasse with another couple for an evening meal and we were not disappointed. We all had a different main course which all agreed was excellent in taste, quantity, price and presentation. The staff were very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to please. Situated a few metres from the beach and ample car parking. House wine was good too!

The Terrasse should really be called "Les Terrasses"...it is divided into two, a brasserie and a slightly more formal restaurant. The kitchen sits between the two, and serves more sophisticated (and more expensive) dishes in the latter. With a couple of kids eager for entrecôte-frites, we opted for the brasserie and were not disappointed. A goat-cheese salad was copious and well-made, the steaks were tender and perfectly cooked, and the wine list had a short but interesting selection of bottles from further afield than the Charente. Service was friendly and efficient. The décor is smart modern, if a litttle cold (a lot of tiles); the exception is the leather-armchaired foyer, where a warm fire was welcome in the rainiest May on record. Can't blame the staff for the weather, of course. And the eponymous terrace looked as though it would be wonderful in sunshine, if it ever comes back. There's a beautiful little beach 150 metres away, too.

the terrace should really be called les terraces. it is divided into two, a brasserie and a somewhat more formal restaurant. the kitchen sits between the two and serves more demanding (and more expensive) dishes in the latter. with a couple of children who were for entrecôte-frites eagerten., we decided for the brasserie and were not disappointed. a goat's cheese salad was laborious and well made, the steaks were tender and perfectly cooked, and the wine list had a short but interesting selection of bottles from the other field than the charente. service was friendly and efficient. the decor is smart modern when a wastey cold (many flowing); the exception is the leathery foyer, where a warm fire was welcome to record in the rainy mai. the personal can of course not be responsible for the weather and the terrace of the same name looked like it was wonderful in the sunshine when it ever comes back. there is also a beautiful little beach meter.
