This may be what you get at a corporate-run hotelThe rooms are pleasant but beyond that few things work as they should.

This is a stunning, modern hotel with all of the amenities. Definitely a strong consideration for when you are staying in Pau!

This cafe is in the Hotel Parc Beaumont and is very pleasant -- quiet and comfy. The menu is just what you might want for a not-too-heavy lunch or light evening meal, and we thoroughly enjoyed our food. The service was more than genteel and attentive. Excellent!

We stayed in the Hotel Parc Beaumont for a week. Since I can't forget the restaurant Le Jeu de Paume. Since I anderstand what the French restaurant is! Fresh bread, tasty deserts, even mineral water... Friendly-welcoming staff!!!

Set in a 5 star hotel perhaps it should be very good but this restaurant is great. Appetisers first then an ameuse bouche of very lightly picked mackerel with finally chopped apple and passion fruit. Octopus teriyaki with very fine noddles, mussels and foam. Artistically plated canard with carrot pure and courgette. Really beautiful and equally attractively presented tuna for my wife. Declared brilliant. Rhubarb and pistachio deserts with strawberry granita. Coffee and beautiful petit-fours.

Decided to treat myself on a good dinner and was curious about Le Jeu de Paume. Sitting outside on the terrace, I decided to take the 7 course tasting dinner and let the waiter choose wine per glass. After dinner I also had coffee which came with sweet treats. I was very glad I went here as the food was delicious and the wines too. Especially the white wine was very nice! I would definitely go back here.

Choosing to eat inside was a very good idea as there were problems for some outside with smoking. Sometimes we forget about this when deciding where we wish to be seated. Wine list is extensive and we found a 2010 (great year) Pommerol. Choosing only a main because of wishing to enjoy the vanilla chocolate soufflé was a good idea. The lamb consisted of 3 cutlets perfectly cooked and pieces of slow cooked pork in the centre of the dish . The aubergine and black berries were a great accompaniment but I was not a fan of the burnt chocolate tuille. We both just loved this dish. Soufflé was vanilla served with a chocolate sauce poured into the centre. Perfect,it's a must have. Service is very good but attention to better glassware is needed to truly enjoy the wines.
