We had two excellent meals at La Table e Bruno, Saint Maximin's finest restaurant. The menu is small (four main course options plus appetizers and some memorable desserts) but everything is very well done in this Michelin-rated resto.

The restaurant had a contemporary interior style which in my opinion does not quite cut it. Starter was satisfactory, main course was disappointing whereby the steak was cold and the majority of the vegetables were boiled and overall the offering was dull. The raspberry desert was outstanding and the star of a very average show. Sadly the wine list was both expensive and unimaginative. The service was efficient and very effective. Not recommend and for the money better value is available in the region.

My wife and I had dinner here 3 days ago - what a positive surprise!Bruno's wife welcom in a very natural manner. You feel weldome! The starting with the Fois Gras and ending with the pear - all accompanied by a good bottle of rose suggestd by Bruno's wife (not the most exensive bottle. We will certainly stop here again!

A nice restaurant with excellent food and friendly good service. It's a pity that they don't have a terrasse but as the rest is perfect you forget about it.

My wife and I were overnighting in the Couvent Royal but their restaurant was full for dinner. We came across La Table de Bruno on TripAdvisor and were encouraged by the reviews. We phoned in the afternoon and booked a table for the evening. When we arrived, we discovered how lucky we were to have booked as they were turning people away. We were given a nice little table in the corner. Very romantic as it was our Wedding Anniversary. The menu had a limited choice which proved that all the dishes were freshly prepared. A choice of 4 starters, 4 main courses and 4 desserts plus cheese if required. The meal was delicious. Some nice touches: the music was very soft and low so it did not interfere with conversation; the air conditioning was gentle and very comfortable. Water and bread were refilled without having to ask. All in all, a very pleasant evening. We shall certainly recommend it and book it again next time we are in the area.

We had a large portion of scallop/veal starter and then a hake main course. Both nicely presented. There was a huge cheese board with the usual selection and also many goats cheeses. The restaurant was reasonably busy with French even on a dark winter evening. I would prefer that they provided salt and pepper on the table, individual tastes do vary and on the whole it was under-seasoned for us.

Disappointed in the service and acoustic of the restaurant. The whole time a background noise of a low frequency was present. This was not pleasant as this was really disturbing. We informed about the noise, but got the simple message that she did not hear anything. No interest in finding out or trying to solve the matter. For the service, the lady was doing everything by herself and was running from one table to the other without giving attention to the details. The fish served was too salty. When informing, also no response or understanding.Just looking like, well sorry for you. That is it!!!!!For the price and quality, too expensive and bad serviceWe were surprised as when visiting two years ago, the restaurant just opened and the master chief came from a famous restaurant in the surrounding. At that time we were pleased about the service and quality.Attention was given. This restaurant will be not our choice when coming back at St. Maximin de la Sainte Baume.

Definitely one of the best meals of our latest stay in Provence. We had the lunch menu for €39 for four courses: one of the best squid ink risotto that I have had for years, gorgeous turbot with new season morille mushrooms, lovely Corsican goat cheeses and a beautiful dessert. The rapsberry gratin my other half had was exquisite and very difficult to get right technically, but it was perfect. They are happy to serve carafes of rosé which is always reassuring in restaurants with very high standard so the bill does not have to be too exorbitant. This is currently the best that St Maximin has to offer and we can both wholeheartedly recommend that you visit soon. Decor is light and modern and service is brisk, cheerful and very helpful in terms of advice and suggestions.
