Lovely to meet friends in Sainte Foy La Grande & a delightful return to the Bamboo, First time to have eaten on the terrace. Superb service & attention to detail, scrummy amuse with our appero's, Really fresh & appealing Buffet for entrees, cold water replaced regularly, delightful section of wines & great choice of main plats. It is nigh on impossible to find a restaurant which is open on a Monday night in this part of France, so when we discovered this was, we jumped at the chance.As others have said, it is Vietnamese with a French twist. The menu isn't extensive, but it is well prepared, and we all agreed that there was plenty of it, and it was delicious.A family run restaurant, and the waiter was extremely polite, and speaks good English. It was a cold night when we went, so we were grateful to have the open fireThis was a first visit from us, and we will be back.
Out with friends having an amazing Culinary experience, fabulous décor, lovely open fire, delightful meet & great. Our first time @ the Bamboo & certainly will not be our last. We started with their vegetable soup Maison, then there was the starter buffet, all fresh & wonderful array of colours & aromas along with superb sauces. The main courses on our table were prawns rice noodles duck, all amazing, stunning What a treat Merci Bamboo
An excellent restaurant. As l live locally am quite a regular client. Family run business, mother is the chef,son and father at front of house. Food is superb, a good selection and very reasonably priced. The lunch time menu, buffet, main course and dessert is 13euros and if you want the same choice for dinner you pay just one euro more. The son is charming and speaks excellent English.
I am a regular at Le Bambou because it is excellent. You are made to feel welcome from the moment you walk through the door. Jordan who speaks very good English is very atentative and friendly. Nice buffet starter and lovely freshly cooked main courses. Can't wait to go again.
