Avignon has a lot of good restaurants, but this is one of the most interesting. We noticed it and made reservations, and we were glad we did. The decor is interesting and fun, but the true appeal is that this is actually a truly one-man-show operation. The server discusses the menu and then goes back into the kitchen to prepare the food, and then brings it to you. And, when you compliment the decor, you discover that he also designed all that himself. Most important, he manages to pull this off with great skill and finesse. The scallop entree was excellently prepared, the fish and meat mains were perfectly done, and dessert was a delicious and amusing affair. The informality encouraged discussions among the diners, and the owner-host-server-chef turned the evening into an enjoyable, one-of-a-kind affair. We truly recommend it. Beware, there are only a half dozen tables, so on a busy evening, reservations are a must.
