We saw a recommendation in FlyBe magazine on way to Bergerac and went for Sunday lunch. Restaurant is run by hard working but friendly couple Melanie (French, front of house) and Charlie (Essex, awesome chef). Service, food, style and atmosphere were all top notch - pretty much Michelin 1 star but at only 32 euros for 3 courses - amazing value. We booked again for our last night on holiday and food was stunning - foie gras with Monbazillac gel, then rare beef with celeriac and beetroot, tarte tatin to finish. Great value wine list too though we treated ourselves to St Emilion grand cru classe from their specials page on the last night. Will eat there again when we return to France! By far the best meals we had in our 2 week holiday.
