Food was amazing and the staff was friendly, management on the other hand was terrible!!! Maybe less time outside smoking cigarettes would help you manage your time and restaurant better Brandy! You definitely won't leave hungry after a visit here. At first, I expected the typical all-day weak, farm-style coffee when it arrived in what looked like an old cup from someone’s grandmother's collection. To my surprise, it was actually good and strong. Don’t miss out on trying the chicken-fried bacon; I loved it, although my wife was undecided. It comes with cream gravy, which was even better than the bacon itself. The corned beef hash was tasty too, but next time I think I’ll go for the chicken-fried steak or one of the giant omelets.
First time coming to this place with the family from Houston. We were not disappointed. We appreciated their efforts to sit all 9 of us together instead of separating us. Customer service was great. Food was delicious, especially their sausage and gravy with biscuit! Gravy was Thick and flavorful while their biscuit was buttery and moist. Their portions are big so next time we know to order one plate for two people because we will definitely be coming back when we visit Austin. Thank you 1431 Cafe!!
