1699 Brasserie - Réservation de table

My wife and I went here for an afternoon tea. The surroundings were pleasant and the staff were attentive. However the place is let down by the food. Finger sandwiches were not enough bearing in mind we had spent £50. Probably no more than 4...slices of bread used for the 2 of us. The scone was nice and the cakes on the top tier were average. However after spending £50 on 2 people you shouldn't still be hungry. Served filter coffee also which I thought was poor.

I visited here for my preferred choice of birthday cocktails, first because when I visited last summer I had a lasting impression and can understand why. I was served by the very same lady ‘Shannon’ who looked after us during a mini hen I...planned last summer and then I got to repeat the whole experience again for my 40th cocktail celebration.

This restaurant is a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal and a drink when the sun is shining. The staff is friendly and our server, Noonoo (if that is the correct spelling), was both funny and efficient with our order. A must-visit spot in Chester, even for locals like myself who have only recently discovered it. I highly recommend it.

Came down with Covid night before, high temp and severely unwell. No alternative to cancel the booking. My wife called and asked about the possibility of moving the date or wavering cancellation fee. Response was very rude and any lack of empathy or understanding. Réservez une table maintenant

I went to this restaurant with a big group of friends and we were all really impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was fantastic, and the staff, especially Nikki and Scott, were exceptionally friendly and attentive.

I had an excellent experience at this restaurant. The drinks were amazing and the service by Nikita was attentive and friendly. The music and atmosphere were also great. I will definitely be returning soon with friends.

Went here for a drink ended up having a meal. What can I say best atmosphere surroundings we've been to in a long time very quirky, Staff very friendly the food was amazing the secret garden is a must do if in Chester.

We visited yesterday and our experience was great. Food ambiance and service were all fab. The secret garden is a great spot to relax too. Special mention to Olivia who took great care of us. Definitely will return Réservez une table maintenant

I and my friend came after drinks and had a fabulous time. the drink was great and the personal was also amazing. a special mention for ryan as he super chatty and a joy to speak.

Great location, friendly and helpful staff Comfortable bed, clean room and ensuite Great food. Hannah on reception. Was very helpful. Shannon the waitress was lovely.
