Restaurant 17 was exactly as advertised. Beautiful scenery, excellent wine selection and fresh well prepared dishes. I started with a Bees Knees and Caesar salad, both excellent. The salad was made with mini romaine making it perfectly crunch without being overly dressed. Next I ordered the bottle of Brancatelli Petit Verdot, which arrived at cellar temp and was an excellent accompaniment to the main course. I selected the Steak Gremolata NY Strip with purple potatoes, heirloom cauliflower wild mushrooms and cippolini onions. Perfectly prepared to mid-rare and so tender I barely used my knife. What a little gem in upstate SC! This fabulous farm-to-table restaurant in Travelers Rest made for a delicious, relaxing date night. Barbara our server was great; her warm smile alone made you feel welcome. The cocktails were unique and delicious with every bite of the duck and chicken entrees being a delightful combination of fresh flavors. We look forward to coming back to enjoy the view and the food!

Absolutely amazing dinner! Rick is a phenomenal waiter who is attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Chef truly puts his heart and creativity into every dish. Everything we ordered was above and beyond! Truly enjoyed celebrating my parents 43rd anniversary at Restaurant 17. Thank you for your hospitality!

We love having such close access to Restaurant 17. The food is outstanding. We are so fortunate to have Sam as our bartender and wait person. He is so helpful and remembers our likes and dislikes. We had another wonderful experience on June 6, as we were celebrating my husband's birthday.

The finest meal since Tuscany. Better than some of the Tuscany meals, better views. Wait staff were perfect, wine beyond comparison. Food delectable. Prices most reasonable, far more reasonable than lesser meals in Manhattan. I sort of don't want more folks to find it.

As always, the food and service were outstanding. The kitchen was a bit slow but the restaurant was full and had a private party booked as well, so considering they were as quick as could be expected. Always at the top of our list as a favorite restaurant.

We LOVE this place... ideally we like outside, so this time we sat inside, while lovely ... we learned to eat later at night so we can still watch the sunset... food is amazing... not a bad bite at the table .... But the duck is PHENOMENAL!!!

I've been to Restaurant 17 on multiple occasions and have always had a fantastic experience. Very professional and knowledgeable staff. The menu is always unique and rotating. Highly recommend!

Overall it's good but expensive . It's not worth the money and the portions can be on the small side. I really like that they are farm to table. The view and location are beautiful.

We come to Restaurant 17 each time we are in town. We love the setting, the food is always excellent, and the service consistently knowledgeable and attentive. We will return soon!
