it has been years since I last visited 1958, but eating is better than ever. every bite from beginning to end was great. simply one of the best meal times I had all year! it is obviously very small in the inner, so reservations must be made a week before the time for a weekend table. it's loud, but that's also to be expected. I recommend the filled avocados, the bacon packed plantains, and do not miss the 10 of 10 ropa vieja! I can't wait to go back. thanks for a nice evening!
Warm, inviting atmosphere. We were greeted by the owner Louis . He was warming, funny and whimsical. Our server Diana was great and very attentive with our needs. Starting with appetizers and ending with desserts.All of our food was very delicious, with bold flavors. Looking forward to coming back again.
Like we say about the food at family gatherings, tan rica comida WHAT A GREAT MEAL Our meals here are always as good as Mama Rosa used to make. Absolutely the BEST Cuban cuisine you can get. The wonderful service and vibes enhance the meal. And take home portions of maduros and congris are a must.
1958 is our favorite restaurant. Iggy (Ignacio) always welcomes you with a smile. The staff is friendly, helpful and very professional. The food is amazing!! Prices are great and it is BYOB. We love the music and the atmosphere! Réservez une table maintenant
very full! I had to stand up from my table to allow others (multiple times). service was just okay. it took at least 20 minutes to arrive for our appetizers and another 20 minutes for our entrees.
The restaurant can get a little noisy with the music and other diners, but the food is excellent.
