We stopped by this restaurant late on a Friday night since we needed something to eat, and it was one of the few places open when we got off the turnpike. The kitchen closes at 10 PM on Fridays, so we made it just in time. We ordered a salad and a steak sub, both of which were excellent. There was a live band performing that night, and they were pretty good too. It seemed like a popular spot for locals. I visited this restaurant for my nephew's hockey team fundraiser and want to apologize to the other diners that evening—there were quite a few energetic 6-year-old hockey fans running around! The staff was incredibly accommodating, and the food was mostly delicious. I had the bacon jam burger, which was delightful! I rated it four stars because the fries were disappointing; they seemed old and possibly reheated. Perhaps they prepared too many when they anticipated the large crowd for the fundraiser, and they sat out for too long, resulting in a starchy texture. Despite that, I will definitely return. Now, onto the food. The chicken sandwich was absolutely amazing! It was hot, juicy, packed with flavor, and quite large. The hand-cut fries were the perfect complement to that delicious meal. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. My son’s burger was flawlessly cooked and also bursting with flavor, served alongside those fantastic fries. This was the best lunch I’ve had in a long time.
