We took our family of ten out for dinner on Saturday night and were surprised to find the restaurant almost empty; we were the only customers when we arrived around 6:15 PM. Everyone decided to go for the hot pot, and the food was served quickly, with timely refills—although it was a bit frustrating that we were limited to just two refills at a time. On a negative note, the cleanliness of the place could have been better; the benches and chairs felt sticky. Compared to other hot pot restaurants, the selection of dishes was somewhat limited, and the broth options were not particularly impressive. Our host was both friendly and attractive; she walked us through the QR code menu ordering system. You place your food orders through your phone using the QR code, but unfortunately, several items did not arrive. The ingredients were relatively fresh, but we found ourselves repeatedly requesting the missing items until they eventually came. We even inquired with our server about the absent items, and while he was able to bring some to us, a food runner arrived with the same items just five minutes later. We celebrated a birthday dinner for four and had a fantastic experience. Zheng was incredibly attentive and helped us choose our soup base as soon as we arrived, giving us plenty of time to pick our meats and vegetables. The Tiramisu dessert for the birthday boy could have used a bit more thawing, but overall, it was a wonderful evening, and Zheng's service was outstanding. It's also worth mentioning that parking meters are free after 5 PM.
The hot pot at this restaurant is exceptional! I haven’t had a chance to try the Korean BBQ yet, but I’m eager to do so. The hot pot was tasty, and all the ingredients were fresh. Despite these problems, we were lucky to have a friendly server who checked on us often and even took it upon himself to cook our food on the grill once we placed it there—something I’ve never encountered at a KBBQ restaurant before. Overall, the experience was disappointing, and I can say with certainty that I will not be coming back to this restaurant.
The quality of the food is outstanding. My only concern is the pricing. I understand that inflation and the post-COVID circumstances are affecting costs, and the restaurant needs to remain financially stable. However, paying $30 per person for lunch is a bit hard to swallow. Despite this, I still recommend the place.
I visited this restaurant with my friends for dinner today, and I would give my overall experience a perfect 10/10. The food was excellent, the service from our waiter Erica was outstanding, and the drinks were fantastic. It's a wonderful spot to enjoy a meal and relax with friends or family.
