We recently celebrated the 60th Wedding Anniversary of my in-laws at the Old Orchard Inn Restaurant. My wife's Parents thought the evening was fabulous. The food was favourably mentioned by almost all of the guests in our party (27). I would like to give a shout out to the excellent staff who accommodated us so well, especially Olivia. Bill and Sally worked with us prior to the evening to make sure we would have an excellent experience for our honoured couple. I really can't say enough about the over-all great service and food. I can't believe there are so many amazing dinner features at this Restaurant starting at only $14.00.There is another negative review on here from one of our guests,...

We have been twice in this restaurant: First, for the dinner; and second, for the breakfast. Dinner was good but the lamb was small and expensive. Breakfast was quite expensive considering what you get, and while the service tried their best, there were only two servants for many people. (We also tried to go for another dinner, but were told that we have to come back in 2 hours even though the dining room was half empty - apparently the cook had too much to do...). In summary, reasons for going there: beautiful view and friendly stuff; reasons again it: prices and wait time. My suggestion is that for dinner one may go to other places, e.g., the Grand Pre winery, while for the breakfast... we...

We paid 36$ each for the ''Privateer's steak'', and it reminds me of the cheap steaks you'd get at a municipal BBQ or after a charity run. My wife's was ''well done'' when she ordered ''medium rare''. She returned it and got a properly cooked steak shortly after, but never did they offer the second glass of wine on the house or anything of the sort. The mussels were not cleaned properly and thus were grainy, or sandy if you will. Fair to say that the service was on par; the lady was very helpful and apologized may times. Very friendly staff, but the food simply does not reflect the price tag.For the best bang for your buck, I'd highly recommend Luckett Vineyards, who charges 30$ a steak and...

The Acadian Room Restaurant and the Blomidon Dinning room at the Old Orchard Inn offer very special dining experiences such as the warmth from the massive stone fireplace, antiques and architecture reflecting the history and culture of the Annapolis Valley, large windows overlooking the stunning beauty of land and sea and centuries-old Acadian dykes and a large roof top terrace for stargazing and watching beautiful sunsets. Fresh and incredible local traditional Nova Scotia favorites from Lobster, chowders, a Sunday Buffet, award winning burgers and savour an apple dessert with fresh fruit from our Valley orchards.

This is a regular date night spot for us. Admittedly, the food is occasionally (rarely) "off"; however, most of the time it is delicious! We love the haddock, chicken and potato rosti, and cedar plank salmon! The roasted potatoes and veggies are always excellent. In the winter it is lovely to sit by the large, open fireplace!

There for birthday supper had the most expensive meal in menu, food came cold, must of been frozen veggies soggy!Cost $125Returned to kitchen to warm husband ate his cold as very hungry so we did not even get to eat together. Nothing was done to compensate us, we should of just refused food & left.

Our server was very attentive and friendly. We started with the shrimp appetizer, very fresh and flavourful. For our main we had scallops and the calypso chicken dish. Both were delicious with chicken being spicy. Nice selection of local wine to try as well.
