I am quite fond of lamb, especially if it's prepared properly. While waiting for an appointment, my Australian host and I decided to check out this restaurant that serves Afghan cuisine. Upon entering, a customer who was on his way out gave us a thumbs-up sign and simply remarked "wonderful". After savoring their Grilled Lamb Kebab and Curried Chicken (both with buttered long-grain rice and a side salad), I can see why it was. Definitely a go-to place in downtown Adelaide for the adventurous foodie! ❤️
Was recomended this restaraunt from a co worker. Ordered through Menulog at 6.40pm as it is around a 30 min walk from the appartment I was staying in. was confirmed by restaraunt via text delivery by 7.45pm after many phone calls trying to track down my food finaly arrived after 9pm by a worker wearing a Afgan Charcol kebbab house logo shirt. Food was cold, drinks were warm and was given a lame excuse about car trouble as to why it was late.
Poppy enjoyed his Afghan mixed Lamb & Chicken kebab before the Footy once, it had the delicious smokey charcoal flavour you'd expect. Probably wouldn't head here for any other reason besides grabbing a bite to eat before the footy as apposed to paying the exorbitant Adelaide Oval food and beverage prices. Thumb up, worth an eat...sometimes
The best afgani restaurant with the delicious food and friendly staff i love the lamb platter juicy and mildly spicy with rice salad and sauces and my friend had BBQ chicken with pita bread salads and sauces he was so happy and it was our first time we been there and wow the price was fair and we will go again and again.

We've been here few times as it is located on hindley street, which was very convenience. We ordered kebabs and few other things, however we had to wait more than 30 minutes for the food. Nothing exciting, food was average but freshly cook.
Outstanding quality and value. The mixed kebab platter, falafels and dumplings were very tasty. Good portion sizes for the price and prompt, friendly service. Recommended for anyone who enjoys the tastes of the middle east and those on a budget.
My first time trying the Afghan food and this is and excellent restaurant next to my hotel. The chicken skewers kebab taste smoky and savory, it lives up to its name. Definitely recommended for those want to try Afghan delicacy.
Nice option between a Turkish kebab and an Indian naan kebab, lamb was tender, nicely spiced in a soft wrap, hit the spot. Chilli sauce perhaps a bit weak, but that's a minor gripe

Had the half charcoal barbequed chicken and rice for 13 AUD. Generous portion and food seems really authentic. Decoration and service is a bit underwhelming though.
Small casual dining area but good food. The chicken briyani and lamb kebabs r really well cooked. Reasonable price with huge portions. Thumbs up!
