Agave - Réservation de table

Note, there is a full Mexican restaurant next door. This review is about the bar. We wanted a cocktail before our reservations at a nearby bistro, so popped in here first. I Immediately fell in love with the rich, plush vibe. There are couches and a nice bar (where we always choose to sit so we can observe and ask questions . This is a tequila bar (probably a hundred bottles! and the cocktail menu showcases your favorite drinks made with tequila instead of the traditional spirit. Husband’s old fashioned was very nice and Gerardo had Luxardo cherries. I enjoyed a spicy margarita rimmed with a smoky pepper. I stopped by for lunch and was pleasantly surprised that it's open, even though it looks closed from the street. The food is incredible, but don't expect typical Mexican fare; it's the real deal. Some of the sauces pack quite a punch, so be cautious! The carnitas with salsa verde and onions were absolutely amazing. We often travel out West, close to Mexico, and we're accustomed to authentic cuisine. This place exceeded our expectations.

Really dig this place! Was there earlier and a bit calm casual….we liked! Nice place to enjoy sipping some top shelf tequila and crafted cocktails. Great for conversation or a little date moment. Plus it has a little swanky vibe to it. Unexpected and really cool. We’ll try the pool table next time.

Agave offers excellent Mexican cuisine, and the service is exceptional. It's situated on the bustling Gulf Boulevard in St. Pete Beach, so be cautious when entering and exiting the small parking lot. Réservez une table maintenant

Overall it was good, ordered the chips and salsa, cheese,and guacamole as an app and split the fajitas. Would go back. Not the best and not the worst. By the beach so how could it be terrible right!?

The food was ultra fresh, especially the Trio was especially tasty!! I had the tacos and they were some the most authentic asada soft tacos around!

The service was incredibly warm and friendly, and the food was absolutely delicious. Be sure to try the sopes, salsas, and margaritas!

Excellent bar for tequila and mezcal. Cool vibe inside. Also, fire al pastor tacos at night
