Ahmet's Turkish Restaurant has a traditional Turkish feel with a very warm and colourful atmosphere.The woven table cloths and coloured glass light fittings compliment the large Turkish wall murals, and scattered plate wall hangings.We visited Ahmet's for a luncheon and our comments only pertain to the lunch menu , which was quite large.The standout for us was the Mezes shared platter, comprising of smaller servings of the Dinner menu features. Every member of staff was amazing, except one. The lady (I don't know her name as she never introduced herself) who took our food order was unhelpful to say the least. We asked her recommendations she did not give us any, rather stated that it's personal choice.. It is personal choice however a bit more information helps us to make an informed decision. She was asked about how many skewers are on a plate, size etc. She said with a dismissive tone that there were two and showed with her hands the size of them (which was way smaller than what it actually was). Though I've lived in Brisbane for seven years, last week was the first time I've gone to Ahmet's, and it was worth waiting for. My friend and I went before the general business of a Friday night - around 5:30pm, and were served quickly by two outstanding staff members, Alex and Diago, who were great at recommending drinks and meals.Our cocktails were great, right mix of everything, and our food orders were quick to come and were delicious.I loved the decor of the restaurant as well, all around good experience, and would be happy to go back again :]
Ahmets is a Turkish restaurant in the southbank precinct of Brisbane. It is regularly packed which is testament to its popularity. An extensive menu including banquet options (including vegetarian ), mezze, skewers and soups. Turkish dancers and music on fri and sat at 6.30 and 8.15 which is awesome. I've been a couple of times and it never disappoints

We all had lamb shanks which were delicious. The trio of dips were very tasty especially the baba ganoush. If you love your veggies then you'll be disappointed as not a great choice. Wait staff were lovely. We received our meal quickly so had plenty of time to eat before our concert.
Met up with a couple of friends, later meal than normal but staff very friendly and accommodating. Great meal of mixed grill meats, although some of the meat was over cooked. Would look to try some of the other menu options if I was in Brisbane again anytime soon.
The kids after 2 weeks of vacationing needed a taste of home and we're glad to find this gem.
Very fresh and tasty hamburgers with some of the best fries
Spicy fries are delicious ! They put a little fork with the fries for the delivery and refreshing towelette. Very good overall

there were plenty of gluten free options on the menu, however I got very ill from the food. Not a coeliac friendly restaurant
