This is a Fortitude Valley institution - the restaurant has been around with for years with Jimmy at the helm. The wait staff are attentive, friendly and helpful with recommendations from the extensive Chinese and Malaysian menu. The dishes we chose were quite nice (although a little bit too Westernised for my fussy Malaysian-Chinese palate). I think that they use far too much onion - particularly in our shallot and ginger scallops - which had a large amount of both shallot and white onion. We had dinner there with friends on a Friday evening. The restaurant was packed and the noise levels were incredible. Everybody seemed to be shouting and nobody could hear anything so it's not a place to...

I have dined here twice recently and both visits were enjoyable. The first time, we called in to this restaurant as part of a food tour. There were a variety of meals to try on a tasting platter and I could recommend them all. The service was excellent. The second visit was a friend's choice. She ordered Char Kway Teow and I ordered Mongolian Beef. Both meals were great. They have a good selection of Chinese/Malaysian dishes. The decor is dated but clean and typical of a Chinese restaurant. Toilets are down a funny little alcove and also relatively clean.Chinatown is looking a bit sad at the moment with many shops closed/sold. Watch out for a major development in this area. Let's hope the goo...
The braised chicken and seasonal veggies would be the best I've ever had, and yes I've been also to Melbourne's Chinatown many times but Jimmy's Superbowl here in Brisbane is the best. Large serves of steamed rice and the Mongolian lamb is very good. Price is very reasonable. Arrived here on a Sunday night around 6:30pm and had to wait for a table but not for long. The place was full so we gathered this restaurant must be good and we were spot on. Highly recommended from us. Will definitely be back before our holiday is over and we return south again next week.
This was the only a few restaurant opened this Friday, very strange for Friday night in China town. It maybe a faith, it was just what we are looking for, good hot noodle soup in cool night.Duck noodle (egg noodle) for my wife, seafood noodle ( Shanghai noodle) for myself. Duck was bit tough & less meat but seasoning was nice & noodle was how it should be.First time on Shanghai noodle, light but had a back bone. Seafood were very fresh, squid, scallop, prawn & fish. Soup base was fantastic. We definitely will go back to try other dishes. Réservez une table maintenant
This was our fourth visit to Super Bowl. Each time we have experienced great service and great food. The owner, Mick is always obliging and helpful. The meals come out quickly and are very plentiful. Every time we have been there it has been packed out but there's never any problem with service or food. We also like the idea that it is a BYO restaurant. We intend to make Super Bowl our regular go to!!
Well what can I say? I was expecting a nice Chinese meal on a Sunday evening with my friends but it turned out to be a disaster. The food not only looked terrible but it tasted terrible and I can safely say I will never be back and would never recommend anyone to go and waste their money in there! The chicken looked like toilet roll and it tasted like it came from the toilet!
This establishment has been a solid part on the China town/ valley nightlife. Catering for everyone this BYO establishment is a friendly and lively restaurant catering for a celebration, birthday or just because is good food. This is not fine food but definitely pleases most tastes. With a bottle shop 30m away your night is set- sit back with friends/ family/ other and enjoy.
Consistently great food, always friendly personal service, an institution in Fortitude Valley.. highly recommend the Sang Choi Bow, Laksa, CKT, Spicy Dumplings, Pekingese Beef, Kung Pao Chicken... ???????? Réservez une table maintenant
Friendly staff, very fast service, delicious food and very well priced at around $20-25 per person for food. The no frills environment helps to emphasise the focus on classic Cantonese fare.

"The pasta at this restaurant is fantastic, the service is good, but the prices are a bit on the higher side. The gnocchi was particularly delicious, but there are other more satisfying options available for the same price."

"The food was tasty. But everyone at our table immediately felt very ill. Almost instantly. The salmon was also a little to raw. The meat was quite a fatty cut"
