I visited this restaurant on a Saturday evening and found that about half of the tables were available. The waitstaff were extremely friendly and checked on us multiple times throughout our meal to ensure everything was satisfactory. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I have had two wonderful experiences here and plan to return next time I am in Pontefract. It's worth noting that starting in February, the restaurant will no longer be licensed, so patrons will need to bring their own alcohol.
This is one our favourite restaurants when we come and visit we have used it many times and have always had a wonderful evening. We did notice it was different and was told it had been refurbished so tastefully done, the restaurant is always spotless lovely staff and the food amazing this time we had popadoms and pickles to start I had chicken passandra and my other half had chicken hyderabadi with basmati rice and peswhani naan lovely one portion will easily do two people and a bottle of merlot lovely
Oh dear, this as got to be the worst meat biryani with uncooked onion slop ive ever had, It smells disgusting. The onion bhaji's, just rings with unspiced batter, what's that about.? Chicken Tikka, well, tasteless tikka. Everthing I got went in the bin. What a waste of money that was. Never will I get another from there. How people can give that a good rating gets me!, obviously they haven't been anywhere else for a curry.
I stopped by this restaurant on a whim. It was okay but nothing special. I ordered a mild dish and was disappointed to find it was too spicy. I had to ask twice for water, even though it wasn't very busy at the time. I wasn't offered dessert or coffee. The restaurant would benefit from having tablecloths to complete the decor. I won't be returning as it didn't feel special enough for me. Réservez une table maintenant
To be honest went to this restaurant because it is part of the meerkat 2 for 1 deal. What a wonderful surprise. I had the anar kali which made a very pleasant change from my usual korma and the chicken balti (asked to be mild actually was mild) was also very good. Will definitely be going again. The shop front has had a makeover and looks nicer now
Just moved into the area recently and have tried their takeaway service and thought we would give the restaurant a go. Pleased we did as everything was spot on and tasted superb. Even better we got it half price using the Meercat 2for1 offer . Definitely recommend it.
