Amma Vegetarian Kitchen

We recently visited the original Amma vegetarian snack -in (not really a restaurant) located in Vienna (a few more locations around the area have opened). Not as crowded as before and pretty much everyone was observant with masks. We ordered the traditional masala dosa, mysore dosa and onion rava masala dosa. Cutlet appetizers. The food was excellent and served hot. Some of the menu items were not available. For dessert a sweet that was available and masala chai (mysore coffee was unavailable). One of our party indicated the food was much better than several months ago. Parking is easy to find and available. Nice family casual outing.

We checked this place when we were on cherry blossoms in DC. We made a pick-up order for our dinner and it didn't take much time for the food until we arrived at the restaurant. The food quality was very good and the packaging was excellent. See a whole range of people who enjoy their dinner, as well as an equal number of people waiting to pick up their order. Wish the inner cleanliness of the place adapted, which was offered on the outside.

You can definitely improve on Sambhar, which has taste, but not super delicious. The Chutney was very mad for some reason. The Dosa was burned and delicious. The aloo subzi or masala was moderate to below average. But the whole cleanliness and standardized presentation gets full traces. One of the best South Indian restaurants in DMV

Delicious, authentic South Indian food that my family loves! The chole bhature and sambar are fabulous, the food is prepared fresh, and the prices are reasonable. The vadas are not very good, but other than that we always enjoy our food here

If you are vegetarian or not, this is the place for you If you like fresh, great tasting food, and fantastic price this is the place for you. A must try!
