The food at this place was delicious. I've never eaten at an airport cafe so I was surprised to find a variety of tempting choices at this type of location. My friend ordered a chile relleno omelette with chile verde on top and home fries and I had the the pancakes with eggs, bacon and sausage. I sampled my friends chile verde and though it had a good flavor the chile needed salt. The home fries were delicious and complimented the omelette nicely. My pancakes were excellent; fluffy, crispy on the edges, and full of flavor. Most places make bad pancakes because it's not their specialty, but the pancakes here will bring me back. We visited the El Monte Airport for lunch, and the weather was absolutely lovely. From there, you can enjoy views of Mt. Wilson and the surrounding TV towers. The restaurant is conveniently located within the airport, and it was very clean. The staff was incredibly friendly, and you have the option to dine indoors or outdoors. We enjoyed watching the little planes either parked or preparing for takeoff, and there were also two helicopters in view. It was fascinating to see the planes land and take off. Fabian (the supervisor was Great! I initially ordered the stack combo, yet it came w/ sausage or bacon ?.....Fabian was sooooooo kind and honored my request for an alternative turkey patty ? (IT WAS HUUUUUUGE? ? The pancakes ? were tasty and the service/atmosphere is something only one can experience from being there ? Thank you!!!!

TLDR Located at SGV Municipal Airport (El Monte), this hotel is a fun, local favourite for breakfast and lunch. With good weather, the entire restaurant is opened so that the terrace and the interior are one. The food is decent, but the atmosphere brings you back. A fun place to bring children who can take the planes out and land.

Food was great! Large portions. I had the avocado omelet. It came with hasbrowns and toast. Other family had biscuits and gravy, chorizo and eggs, and pancake breakfast. Everyone was very happy with their food and the staff was all wonderful and attentive.

I absolutely love this place! It was a fantastic experience dining while watching the airplanes take off. I highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely be back soon!

Conveniently located at the airport, this restaurant offers excellent service and delicious food. The view is outstanding as well. I look forward to returning!
