there were only 4 of us for lunch, but they still got the main course order wrong. I didn't want to lead to an upswing, even if the waitress offered to change it, I accepted the wrong court, especially as she said that she would. but when the bill came, it wasn't ours. when the next bill was presented, it had been corrected for our table, but not for the wrong main course. for the third time luck came with a weak apology and two extra mint chocolate! although eating was good, a certain training in customer relations is clearly necessary. fortunately, this visit was with friends, God forbids when it was about business.

Would all have been 5 stars except for 2 things! Why no toilet brush available!!?? No non slip matbin shower tray! Tray get slippery and no supporting handles available do guests have used shower head riser rail to hold onto and as a result it comes off wall at bottom of riser!!!

I stayed at the Appleby Inn last night and had a pleasant experience. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was delicious and the dinner was reasonably priced and also enjoyable.

The food and service were good with fair prices, but when I returned today on 11/04/24, I had to send back the braised beef because it was very tough and inedible.

Excellent lunch there today even the light bite Yorkshire pudding was more than enough everything was fresh and tasty. Good service friendly staff as usual

Food and service excellent. Live locally, so cannot comment on accommodation. Great place to meet up with family and friends.

The food is second to none hot fresh and plenty of it. Be warned if you want fish and chips I hope your hungry.
