Called in one evening when passing through. Got asked what drinks and food we would like and those were delivered fairly quickly. The salmon and chicken were supposed to come with tender stem broccoli but came with very al-dente green beens and no explanation or apology. After the food was served we were essentially ignored with the plates remaining on the table for ages until we asked to see a desert menu. One of the girls serving who had started that evening did go round clearing glasses but the other was more interested in chatting to customers at the bar and going outside for a smoke. The band XL were excellent.

I took my family for a meal after seeing the great reviews. I was really disappointed with the food. The scampi was of poor quality and the salmon burger wasn’t great. Unfortunately I wasn’t honest on leaving and regret not informing them the food was very average. I don’t like being negative but the food needs serious improvement if to be successful. It spoilt my evening as I was treating my family that were staying to what I thought would be a lovely meal.

This village pub is absolutely charming. We booked a table to ensure we had a spot to watch the England game, which was no problem at all. The food was delicious, the service was fantastic, and the atmosphere was lively while watching the football match. I would highly recommend this pub. Huge thanks to the staff for a wonderful evening, and congratulations to England for making it to the finals.

We had the Sunday lunch it was very poor food you get a child porshan it was all cold what you got for 13 pounds was terrible the veg was so poor you would not believe I got four green beans and abit of red cabbage two cremated roasted potatoes need I go on would definitely not go again

Food looked wonderful, but chips a little soft, would have liked the pork crackling also to be crispy. All tasty enough tho. Lovely setting and the staff we dealt with were friendly and attentive without being overbearing.

Short staffed, wait for everything. Table booked for 10 was crampt. Food when it arrived was very good. Service from the staff was very good in the circumstances.

The service was good, but the food was lacking. The scampi was crispy and hard, and the burger was extremely small and not served in a bun as advertised.

Just stopped for a drink as we passed. Staff were very friendly, there was a singer entertaining about 6 guests.

It's ok. Beer was ok. Nice choice of alcohol free cider. Didn't eat
