This place is hands down the dirtiest most grossest place PLEASE for your health sakes DO NOT GO! Meals are waaay over priced. You are better off going to the food court in the central markets. My prawns were $15 and tasted overly bland. When I spoke to the manager owner she was extremely rude and abrupt. The prawns were soggy and slimy. I didn't even eat them. The next day I was violently ill. I noticed the kitchen was a mess I hope when inspectors come they realise asap how bad it is. I will be contacting the council of the filth in that place
Consumers are spoilt for choice when it comes to Asian food in Chinatown. With so many Asian cafes and restaurants down the Gouger Street cafe precinct, as well as a number of international food courts, it can be a hard decision deciding what to have. One such business that has been around for a while is Asian Gourmet which is located on the western side of the Adelaide Central Markets, at one of the entrances into Chinatown. The menu is a standard size with rice and noodle dishes, curries, vegetarian dishes and dishes separated by protein.
Best service,Best laksa,Best everything. I am a chef myslef and travell all the way into city just for the amazimg laksa turn around and go home. Worth every cent. Absolutely love the place and get treated like a true customer. Thanks guys as today they were closed but still went out of there way to serve not just myself but another 5 peoole whom walked in 10 minutes after me.keep up the good work.
this place has not changed a bit since I started here many years ago. the food is made fresh because it so high turnover of parachutes enjoy the amazing price in the offer. I love her kwey teow and laksa. nothing nice, just good delicious eating well made. it can be a great t of one waiting for a table to time, but patient, it is worth it.

Hianese worst chickens I had for the first time at asian gourmet very disappointing. the chicken was dry and felt microshaft, no early swirl sauce. I wondered if I wanted chili on the side, provided that a container I said yes to find the chili on the rice and it had penetrated the whole rice when I came home.
asian gourmet has been at the same place for years that serves the same food and has never a substitute because eating is amazing! the laksa is definitiw the dishes here and dishes are constantly coming out of the kitchen. the broth has a lot of love in it and is really full of taste.
Been walking past this place like every week at the market. Wasn't a satisfying meal. Spring rolls are great but the chow mien felt like something I'd buy at a shopping mall food court. Could've been better.

Always excellent. Best Laksa in Adelaide by a long way. Worth waiting in line for. Try the Kway Teow as that is also very well made and tasty for such a simple dish.
our early rolls had no other filling than a tiny piece of carrot and cauliflower. we were very disappointed
