"Nice menu at a correct price with some “amuses” with a variety of tomatoes in a small salad, a granité or apple sorbet with a small “pipette” of pommeau liquor (calvados with apple juice, fermented) and a white fish with a lobster bisque sauce followed by a nice selection of cheeses or a panacotta with fresh red fruits. All very tasty. The Dutch chef Amir who stepped by to greet us, and his staff are very friendly."

We had a pleasant stay here, the rooms were clean and comfortable and well presented. However, we had arrived later than expected after issues with taxis and it was disappointing the staff had gone home for the night leaving us to locate our rooms having left us a note. It was quite unsettling for the children in our group and my elderly father in law. We learnt this is a restaurant with rooms rather than a hotel. Breakfast was lovely on the terrace- continental buffet. We ate dinner here and the service was very slow, an hour and a half until our main courses and the children’s meals weren’t brought out until the adult mains, meaning the kids watched us eating our starters- we should have asked for their meals to come then. The food was delicious, small portions, but very well cooked. They catered for my Coeliac daughter and adapted a dish for her to eat safely, gluten free grilled chicken with sautéed potatoes, which was all eaten with no ill effects afterwards. Dessert was disappointing, we were informed all ice cream had gluten in, but my daughter could have an adult pudding, a chocolate sphere- which we ordered and then it came with a scoop of sorbet on- which we’d been told previously has gluten in, so my daughter lost all trust in their gluten free knowledge. Overall a pleasant stay, beautiful rooms and the view was fabulous. I would only stay here with a car, taxis were sparse and unreliable. The staff were helpful but we didn’t at any point see anyone who looked like a manager, only waiters who were helpful.

Simply delicous and beautiful experience to dine here for lunch. We had a fantastic 6 courses which lazily spread over 3 hours. The portion size was good so you got to truly experience and share a range of flavours including lobster cappuccino!, oysters, pate, veal, lobster and a superb, generous and theatrical selection of cheese. Special mention for the desserts chocolate pot and tarte tartin, simply superb with lovely flavour touches. Top food and top service from our waitress just enhanced the experience. This was delivered efficiently and most importantly engagingly and with humour throughout, despite our limited French. With views over Puys village and beach even on a rainy day the location is great. We all felt very comfortable here and it was relaxed and special experience. Its not cheap but it is really good value for what is one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. Worth every Euro. The perfect end to a couple of days in the wonderful Dieppe Only minutes from town and easy access to the ferry simply go if you can. Thank to chefs and staff and we would give you many more stars if we could. Hope to see you again.

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a bit too far to walk into Dieppe which is a pity but it’s a lovely calm spot with beautiful views out to sea. The rooms were pretty basic with minimal extra touches bedside light only one side, the thinnest pillows, weak shower etc but still had great charm. Standard Breakfast buffet minimum service but lovely to eat on the terrace on a nice morning. The Auberge is justifiably known for the fine dining. Dinner was excellent. We had the set menu at 55e per head which included lobster main course. Delicious
