Ball & Chain Grill

Ball&Chain Grill got it's name from the building it situated in, which was built by chain gangs. It was specialising in charcoal grilled steaks, local seafoods. During dinner time, this placed was popular by local residents as well as tourists. We had half dozen of fresh oyster as the starter and one eye fillet with hot pepper sauce and one scotch fillet with plum and ginger sauce the oyster was small but fresh, just needed some lemon juice and tasted smooth, refreshing and little sweet the steak has different grams to choose, 180g is perfect for me, and medium rare was recommended. We had a reservation, but had to wait a few minutes until our table was ready. It was busy so we didn’t think much of it. The service, unfortunately, didn’t get much better. If you have to leave your table and go to the bar yourself for a round of drinks, there’s a problem The food was just ok the two of us who got steaks were really underwhelmed. The duck was good, though You can go elsewhere in Salamanca and have a much nicer meal.

this was a total disappointing visit. we were thrilled to check this place as the reviews and promise of great steak. but the steak was undercooked.

came here for a special dinner, especially for steak. to our surprise they had an salatable for all who order something from the grill menu.

once they did not have to make a reservation here, and there was an salatable that rivaled a buffet salad bar in this hemisphere.
