This small Thai restaurant is located near Tübingen University. My international programme coordinator brought us here for lunch one day. I was quite hesitant about eating here but decided to try it anyway. This place is quickly ready to eat Thai food. We're here after lunch. Some of us wanted Pad Thai, since we all had good Thai food and we believed that, but they were from Pad Thai. Instead, we have her chicken curry with rice. It was actually better than expected. It's just cash.
I've been going to this place since the opening, it's one of my favorite restaurants in tübingen and I'd even consider it as an insider tip for vegan than I. eating is authentic, freshly cooked and cheap. the lady who owns and runs. the place is very beautiful and offers various meals every day. perfect for lunch breaks, but also for a take-away dinner I can recommend this place to anyone who loves Thai food. there is also always at least one vegan option available.
I got my lunch there twice while visiting a friend in Tubingen. The lady who works there is very friendly and always with a smile but the real surprise was the food. It was literally the best Thai food I ever had. The green tea...is also really nice. Prices are relatively cheap. 5/5 would recommend.
I visit Ban Mai very often because it is near the university and the food tastes great. The food is day-fresh and there are 3-4 different choices daily. I came from Taiwan and had eaten meals in Ban Mai several times. The Thailand lady owner is really cute. Everyday menu with 4-5 regular options plus 1-2 special. Clean environment, delicious food. Only little cons is no other waiter/waitress so sometime you need to...wait for a while.
Here there are good food at very reasonable prices. Great plus: You need to bring your own containers or buy reusable trays. If you like hot food, you'll be good here. But the mild dishes are also very mild if you do not like sharp dishes. The service is nice and friendly.
The food here tastes really good. The ingredients are fresh and original. After getting knowing the cute little owner, I found her super friendly and passionate. The reasonable price makes here perfect to grab a lunch!
