Bangkok Kitchen Thai

This place is a little hidden gem. The building is pretty worn down, but it has its charm. I used to really enjoy their lunch buffet, but they haven’t brought it back since the pandemic. During my visit in the summer of 2022, I tried the seafood soup and some larva (see photos). Both were excellent, though I think they could have included more salad ingredients. The spice level can vary, so it's important to discuss how spicy you want your meal when ordering. I tried their standard spice option but I'm not sure I'll go that route again; next time, I’ll ask for a side of fresh Sriracha and fish sauce. I placed my order over the phone for shrimp fried rice. When I arrived to pick it up, they told me it would be $18, which I thought was quite steep. I've never encountered a shrimp fried rice dish priced that high. When I finally received my order, I noticed the bowl was small, and there were only five shrimp in it. While the food did taste good, it felt overpriced, and I definitely didn't get my money's worth. This was my first visit, and it will likely be my last unless there are no other dining options available in the area.

I like Thai food and I was in several Thai restaurants. But I have to say this is the best Thai food I've ever had. At the next visit, try the Papaya salad (by spicy). It's delicious. To finish it, the owners and servers are extremely pleasant and friendly. Thanks Jaey and Nok. I'm sure I'll visit again. I will recommend Bangkok Thai Kitchen to my friends.

This is a must-go place!!! It looks like a random back of a store, but it is SO good. The food has been excellent across both owners I've had it from (2018 and 2022) and has always been great as long as my uncle has been coming here too (since 2002 or so).
