Beal's Old Fashioned Ice Cream

Really great ice cream for a good price. My only complaint is the cashiers who handle the cash also scoop the ice cream without washing hands or donning gloves. Food poisoning outbreak in the making if you ask me.Edit: thanks for the reply, Beal 's! The paper covering and dish would be helpful if your staff avoided touching anything but the paper, but they don 't. Literally they use their grubby hands to grab a spoon (the part I put in my mouth, no less) and plop it in my dish. A spoon being an unwrapped single use article , as mentioned on page 38 of the State of Maine Food Code. Follow food sanitation protocols and have them wear gloves, wash hands, or have a separate person man the register and handle the food. It 's just gross to touch money and food without washing in between.

Crazy huge portions!Waffle cones, to dip out not to dip? Doesn 't matter you can have either here! Hard it soft serve. Shakes, cakes and belly busting sundaes!Deliciously famous year 'round flavors and seasonals that feature local produce!No sugar added and other specialty items are also available.So stinking good!

SO MANY DECISIONS! It was really hard to pick JUST ONE flavor. Loved the wide variety and the servings were huge! Picnic tables to sit at and plenty of parking! Yummy definitely recommend!

Cute old-fashioned ice rink with interesting aromas and great ice cream. Also quite expensive. $5-6 for 1-2 pots. I didn't try the spoons. Just like the best place in town.

Switching off customers standing at 8:00 is bad customer service and bad business practices. Not to mention how rude they are.
