The food was exceptional, perfectly cooked and portion sizes were just right. The squid and lamb starters, sea bass, hake, and duck mains, and Portuguese custard tarts for dessert were all delicious. Located in a quiet side street in Bude, 2 Belle Vue Avenue is a very popular and intimate restaurant with only about 20 seats. Booking in advance is essential due to its popularity. My spouse and I opted to order four starters in a tapas style instead of the traditional starter and main course. The kitchen handled this request with ease and we were delighted with our choice. The food was outstanding and the service was top-notch. I highly recommend this restaurant.
This charming little restaurant has a very knowledgeable waiter who knows the food well. The homemade mackerel pate was delicious, and my husband said the calamari was very fresh and perfectly cooked. The hake with champ and broccoli was also very tasty. My husband's steak was cooked just the way he requested. Unfortunately, we were too full for dessert, but the selection looked tempting. We will definitely be making a return visit next time we are in Bude.

Service and food are totally spot on. We had the Calamari and Pulled Lamb to start followed by the Confit Duck and Hake with a gorgeous Viognier. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious. Service was efficient and friendly. Result! Highly recommended.

We had a lovely evening in this cosy restaurant. The waitress was really friendly and attentive, but didn’t hassle us at all. The star of the evening was the food, potted crab to start along with cocktails. Highly recommend

Great little place hiding down a side street. We didn’t know what to expect, but we’re very pleasantly surprised. Fantastic food and very welcoming friendly service. We’ll be back.
