We arrived in Whistler and hunted out a place to grab some grub. We picked BG's as the menu looked great and there was gluten free options. Our first set of drinks arrived and they were perfect, we couldn't wait for the grub. Well about 15 minutes past and our waiter stops by and apologizes that our app was over cooked and we have to wait longer, and that it might come with our meals.. we were ok with that. he asked if we wanted another round, we said yes. A couple next to us who also came in well after us, reiecved their food. When our drinks came out for the second time they were wrong, our waiter stopped by and we made note of that and he took one drink back to make another one. When that...
Went out for a family meal and sat down at 9 after a 25 minute wait which was surprising on a Tuesday evening. After we sat down it took 15 minutes before someone came over to take a drinks order and a further 10 minutes before they arrived and I could see the drinks sitting on the bar for a few minutes with several waitresses just walking past them. Service all evening was slow however the waitresses always apologised and made sure we were alright. The food tasted great and was well presented. Was a mixed evening, the service was good and you can't blame the waitresses for the slow kitchen service. Probably would not return again but was a good meal.
Stopped in for lunch, very happy to see breakfast menu available until 2 pm, allowing us to have omelettes. They accommodated extra items for one dish (must have avocado and crispy bacon). Friendly staff kept our water filled, made lovely chai latte and happy to provide tea bag on side with pot of hot water for Mum. Mum liked it so much, she said we would be back the next day for dinner. We did that and we all tried different meals, pasta, Philly steak and snitzle. Enjoyed all meals plus the desserts were amazing. Mum even got out camera to take photo before we could taste. Would go back if we were staying longer.
The Urban Grill is in the heart of the Olympic Village and perfect if you're staying in one of the many hotels there. It does serve meals all day: breakfast, lunch and dinner and probably everything in between too.Its a little like an American Diner and the food is similar too, steaks, burgers and pasta dishes too. Kids are welcome and there is a kids menu too.Overall the two of us had a lovely meal with no drama's and would probably go back if we were in Whistler ever again.Our bill came to C$ 56 approx all in with food, drink, tips etc which seems fair. We were walking back to our hotel and there was a man singing next to the restaurant and since we were hungry we decided to stop so we could listen to more of his singing.This was the day before Iron Man and the place was packed with visiters, so we were really surprised how fast we were able to get a table.My husband and I split the fish and chips and for us it was the perfect amount of food. We enjoyed the fish and chips and thought the service was very good.It was a nice place to stop, listen to the music and watch people go by.
Whistler was very busy on a Sunday evening and we needed a bite to eat. This restaurant was very busy so we opted to eat inside. The restaurant was very warm and the air conditioning was poor. As soon as I sat down I could not wait to leave.I ordered the Thai Rice Bowl and the food was very average. The rice was burnt in places and was the Nan Bread. Service was good but thats about it.Would I return? No.....
Wir sind zum Abendessen dort gewesen und haben einen Platz draußen bekommen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und das Essen war sehr gut. Das Steak auf den Punkt gebraten. Beim zweiten Mal hatten wir eine Kellnerin aus Deutschland, die uns flott und freundlich bediente. Auch zum Frühstück waren wir im Urban Grill. Es war gut und nicht zu teuer.
We ate here every morning before our riding. Food was perfect, steak and eggs, potatoes, coffee etc. Nothing fancy, just exactly what we were looking for in breakfast before the long day of riding.
