Big Dipper Ice Cream is a beloved establishment in every town in Montana, and this one is no exception. During my visit, I decided to try a waffle cone with three different flavors: Mexican chocolate, vanilla Reese's, and salted caramel. If I had to choose just one, I would definitely go with the salted caramel again. The vanilla Reese's didn't have enough Reese's pieces in the ice cream, and the Mexican chocolate tasted just like the hot chocolate my grandmother used to make back home. I usually don’t leave reviews but I felt I had to give a shout out this time. We were visiting from Colorado and stopped in for a couple of milkshakes on September 22. After the shakes were done, I asked about purchasing a small amount of vanilla ice cream for our dog, Moxi, whose birthday is today (turning 14) and her brother, Lucca. The lady who was working the counter was so very nice and gave the dog’s ice cream as a present to our old lady. I’m sorry I didn’t get her name; she was so sweet. Thank you again for making Moxi’s birthday special!!
that was dessert, after a quite ordinary lunch in millers on the road. absolutely wonderful. chose a single salted caramel. very creamy and extremely more... if there is such a word, lol. the only reason I didn't have 5 is because I tasted the ice of the d dutchman in sicamous, bc. and that was a little better.
great! we have been pulled away since then and we still drool when our friends post pictures of their big dipper cone. my favorite combo was a ball of cocosmus and a draw Mexican chocolate. my naves are a purist and go for the white mint oreo.
