My first visit to Bistro Dansk was at lunch. My husband and I were the first patrons there, as we got there right when they had just opened. We both ended up ordering the Dansk schnitzel $13.95), which consisted of a lunch portion of breaded pork tenderloin, roasted potatoes, and the option of either mixed vegetables or sweet and sour cabbage. I opted for the sweet and sour cabbage, and my husband inquired about switching the roasted potatoes and mixed vegetables/sweet and sour cabbage for their danish style potato salad, which they were able to accommodate for us. Wow yum! I'm a huge fan of places that is worth my and I judge it in terms of quantity, taste and service. I came in to get takeout at 8:45pm and greeted by the hostess who asked the chef to whip a schitnzel up for me. When she said she'd add the menu to the box, i didn't know what she was meaning, until I saw the BIG box full of my food! I got mounds of chicken schitnzel, a full size baguette, a whole thing of roasted potatoes, a full thing of cabbage, and no one told me that the chocolate eclair was a full size cream puff! This restaurant has a charming and cozy atmosphere with a relaxed European mom and pop diner vibe. It's a small establishment with high-quality food. On my first visit, I tried the affordable Borscht Soup, which had a strong beet flavor and was very satisfying. The crab meat salad was unique with an assortment of fruit pieces on the side. The mashed crab meat in the middle was cold, similar to a potato salad, and quite tasty with small pieces of crab and potatoes. The lemon soufflé was decent, but addictively delicious with its fluffy cream texture. I went to the Bistro Dansk for dinner tonight and again it is still consistently one of the best restaurants in Winnipeg. I had the appetizer Cesar salad to start and the other diners had the spicy mushrooms, both were very good. I had the Morbradbof and the other diners with me had the half chicken and Filet Maria Teresia. All were great! I have been eating at the Bistro Dansk for over 20 years and I can confidently say that I have never had a bad bite of food there. Great food at reasonable prices and huge portions. Awesome food. Had the pork schnitzel with Potatoes and sweet and sour cabbage. Huge portion! The schnitzel had a crispy coating and was juicy inside. The potatoes were like a warm potato salad and were very tasty. The sweet and sour cabbage is phenomenal. The price was I beleive $21.95ish but well worth the price. I highly recommend it as a place to go. Only downside is that parking is on the street and we had walk a couple blocks. Friendly service! Since I don't live in Winnipeg I would love the cabbage recipe!

The restaurant offers large portions and delicious food! I was craving a Caesar salad and this place delivered. I found the batter on the schnitzel to be a bit too doughy for my taste, but it was easy to remove some of it for a lighter meal. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere, with many regulars dining there. They can accommodate big groups, but it's not ideal for large parties as the dining room has a maximum capacity of 48 and tables are set for 4.

Great food and great service. I spent three hours having a long and they were very attentive without being impatient at all the food is all very authentic and delicious. You can tell that it has been made from scratch with a lot of care and attention.

This was our first visit to Bistro Dansk. We found our meal to be delicious. The portion were large. We had to take part of it home with us for our next meal. The service was excellent. I have already recommended this restaurant to friends. Réservez une table maintenant
