Delicious food! I was initially hesitant to try this restaurant, but after my visit, I’m happy to say I would definitely return in the future. The corn bread and butter were an incredible way to kick off the meal (we ended up ordering another serving). We enjoyed the French onion soup and Boudin balls, both of which were wonderful! My group ordered the Jambalaya, Nashville hot chicken, and deep south shrimp and grits, and all the dishes were delightful! While I’ve had better chicken and shrimp in the South, this restaurant still delivered some fantastic flavors! My only critique is that the Jambalaya was a bit on the salty side. I've said it before and I'll say it again, someone at Disney knows barbecue!! The AYCE barbecue and tri tip were DEVINE!! We made a reservation and were seated quickly. There were many great choices, but the platter offfered so much variety. The cornbread is soft and sweet and served with honey butter, the jambalaya is spicy but not too hot with loads of shrimp. The onion soup has a thick layer of gooey cheese, so delicious. Our server Justin was quick and attentive kept our glasses filled and plates cleared. Great price too, will be back for the banana bread cake!
The food was excellent. We both ordered the sampler, which turned out to be way too much food. The meal started with some delicious cornbread, and then the sampler arrived. We really can't understand how anyone manages to get seconds! While most of the dishes on the plate were great, neither of us enjoyed the chicken. Our server, Peter, was outstanding—he refilled our drinks at just the right moments and checked on us frequently.

After going to Riverside for a few years and not getting reservations here, we were excited to set one up now that it opened a few days ago. It did not disappoint. The food and service were outstanding. The french onion soup is now on my last meal list! The prime rib and salmon were cooked to perfection while the candied pecan caramel cheesecake was sinfully delicious. We are definitely adding Boatwrights to our dining rotation.
The warm cornbread with honey butter was an excellent way to begin the meal. I also tried the Boudin balls, which exceeded my expectations with their delightful flavor combination. For my main course, I ordered the brisket and ribs, which were definitely the highlights of the meal. The Nashville hot chicken was incredibly juicy as well.
The French onion soup was excellent, and the hot plate was above average. Unfortunately, the ribs were the worst part of the meal, and the corn was unremarkable. However, the brisket and chicken were very good. The atmosphere was simple and not as lively as other places in Disney.
This Disney dining location continues to provide a quality experience in both food and ambiance. The menu features imaginative Southern cuisine that complements the setting beautifully.

AMAZING!!! I have seen mixed reviews, but honestly, this was the best meal we had on Disney. Our waiter Al was so sweet and the dinner was amazing! Can't wait to go back.
We stayed at Port Orleans Resort and enjoyed a Mother's Day dinner at Boatwright's. Since our reservation was for a later time, the restaurant was not very crowded.
