The history of the Bonwit Inn, is fascinating It was formally the toll booth on the Vanderbilt Parkway.(check out the address #1) incidentally Vanderbilt Pky used to be a race car track. Let’s start with the positives. The staff at Bonwit is incredible. They truly went above and beyond for my event. I reserved the beautiful Anastasia room for 40 guests, and it was the ideal venue for the baby shower. The space is both elegant and stunning, and I was able to decorate it to my taste. The manager was exceptionally kind and allowed me to decorate the day before, giving me as much time as I needed. Whenever I had a concern, the staff was always available and addressed it promptly. I personally enjoyed the scrambled eggs, bacon, made-to-order omelette, Caesar salad, lox, and fruit; everything was delicious! However, there were a few items I didn’t care for, including the poached salmon, crusted salmon, and potatoes. The salmon simply didn’t taste right to me, and the potatoes were served cold, which was surprising since we arrived right when they opened. Additionally, I wasn’t a fan of the baked clams, as I prefer them whole rather than chopped. On the positive side, the service was excellent. We had been out and about on a rainy day and were looking for a place to grab some lunch, we were heading in the direction of the Bonwit and reminiscing about them from years and years ago. We didnt think they would be open, but they were, I have to be honest and say I was a little hesitant, but was very pleasantly surprised. Good food, good service, varied menu and reasonable prices!!!! Its definitely got that old school restaurant vibe going on that we were remembering, but it was comfortable and cozy. I came here for Sunday brunch ... I think 2 years ago) I loved it I cannot wait to go back !! Everything was delicious there is such a big variety of food to choose from ... eggs, breads, eggplant, pasta, seafood, cheeses... you're gonna need more than one plate !!! Only complaint ... They're under staff since it gets so busy they're all over the place ... but I'm the type of costumer that I don't want to be bothered while I'm eating so it's ok !! You're offered a Mimosa or Bloody Mary I think) but only one! Not unlimited, I wish! It should be ... ok, second complaint we want unlimited!! Overall it's worth the go!

i know this place has been here a very long time, i've been here for brunch and i've been here for dinner and the brunch buffet was definitely the better of the two. the food is okay for the price but the better value is definitely the brunch and if you're coming with family or just have a lot of young kids the selection for dinner is a little bit limited and if it's pricey too it's a little hard to reconcile. the brunch buffet is expensive too but at least they have more common food items so it's easier to keep everyone happy if you're in a group.

To be absolutely fair, the food was delicious. There was a great variety of seafood, salads, pasta, my God, really a lot to choose from, and basic drinks and desserts. BUT, and this is a big but, this is the most outrageously priced buffet I 've ever partook of, with the bill running close to $100 for brunch, plus tip, for two people. This may be good for a once in a while outing on a lark, which is what we did, but I 'm guessing most people won 't be coming back there every Sunday.

It has been ages since I have gone here. We were pleased with the food, the server did the best he could but was certainly slow. Attention to our table was minimal at a slow time of the restaurant. Food was good and portions large on some items.. Réservez une table maintenant

The prime rib and salmon were cooked to perfection. The bread and Greek salad, as always, were delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant!
