I believe this is the first time I've dined in at a Boston Pizza. I'm very impressed by the quality of my experience at their downtown Kelowna location. The lady who served me was both kind and knowledgeable. I have dietary restrictions, and when I had questions regarding my order, she was kindly able to assist me. Her quality of service remained high throughout my visit. There are many menu options, including a customizable pasta dish. This had gluten-free options, as well as approximate amounts of calories and joules for each ingredient. This is very helpful to me, because of my disabilities, head injury, and dietary restrictions. This was the first visit to a Boston Pizza after 9 years since the last visit. Given the previous reviews, was a bit nervous about this place but the kids like the ice cream dessert so we went. This visit was very good. Our server was pleasant and attentive and dealt with the kids perfectly. The food was well cooked, hot and tasty and plentiful. I agree its tough to make a mess of pizza, but my wife had chicken Fajitas with a garden salad. There was enough for three on her plate and she said it was just perfect. Couples night out. The four of us decided BP would be the place that night (we've gone to the one further north near Leckie St. numerous times.) Quiet enough to chat, enough background music to keep things interesting, attentive servers –all pleasant and courteous, and very decent fare. Just nibbles, but plentiful for the four of us, including rich desserts. Good choice of drinks and helpful pairing ideas in the menu, including the beer. Good family place with something for everyone, too. Easy to get to if you're heading north on Harvey (Hwy 97) near Richter. Clean and good elbow room. Won't break the bank.
The food was delicious as usual, however the waitress that we had needs to go back into training. First of all, she didn't bring what one of the guests in our party of seven ordered. She told another member that something else from what he ordered was a better deal but the same thing. It wasn't, the order had different ingredients in it. Then in the end, it took her five tries to get our bills correct. Nice girl but I don't know where her head was yesterday. Réservez une table maintenant
The host or hostess's are always friendly and helpful. Generally, the service is excellent. Food has always been above par. I like the varied menu because although I love pizza, sometimes I want something else. Everything I have ordered has been tasty! Burgers, lasagna, Penne, salads, etc, all have been very good! There is even gluten free options for my daughter! The beer selection is also fair. LOL
The food was just barely adequate. Paying the bill was an experienced. First, it was a lot of money for this kind of restaurant. Next, the credit card machine did not appear to offer a dollar amount for a tip. The options, as I recall, were 15,% 20% and 30.% It was a ten-percent meal any way one looks at it. Really not impressed in any way and certainly unlikely to go back.
