I had lunch with a friend at Bremfields' the other day - and it was just perfect! They offer one item for lunch - so we had fabulous chicken salad on a very fresh and tasty bun with a side salad, that included watermelon and pumpkin seeds. It really was great - plenty to eat but we didn't feel stuffed. So we had room for dessert - and then we were stuffed.Coffee is self-serve and they have a nice assortment of teas. I have already mentioned the great variety of baked goods - and they also sell potted flowers and jams. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. I overheard someone ask about their hours and they serve lunch until 2:00 - or until they are sold out. On Saturdays, they serve waffles...
Having just moved to the Port, I was delighted to find this gem of a tea room. The owners are incredibly generous and friendly. They were patient when my child had a bit of a meltdown and invited her back to see their baby chicks during the Easter season. Their pies, desserts, and coffee were delicious. The strawberry-rhubarb was especially good - a perfect balance of sweet and tart. The decor is wonderful - a white, milk-paint effect accented by antiques. We plan to make our visit a weekly ritual.
This establishment offers a quaint indoor seating area, friendly staff and wonderful baked goods! They also provide a daily lunch special. The outside seating is quite wonderful as well, several little bistro sets surrounded by plants ( which are also for sale) will have you quickly forgetting you're on a main street. The perfect place to enjoy a quiet moment with a wakeup coffee or to finish those last chapters of your favourite book.
Bremfields is a renovated older home perfect for breakfast, lunch and beverage with a home baked pastry. The lunch menu for the day was pasta with tomato sauce in a ramekin sized bowl with 2 slices of garlic bread. Many different hot and cold beverages to go with your meal- non alcoholic. And for dessert there is a huge glass case of pastries to choose from- cookies, squares, cake, pie, all home baked. Yum! Come on in. You'll love it!
Bremfield's is a gem. Each day, as well as pies and squares, Bremfield's presents lunch which is prepared and presented beautifully and tastes as good as it looks. However, this is not your full service restaurant. Each day they post, on their FaceBook page, the menu for the day.Where else can you have lunch, take ho,e a pie for dessert, and pick up some flowers at the same time?
I live across the street and walked into this gem for a coffee one day. It is so much more than a café. Beautiful, quaint, country style interior with exposed brick, daily home made lunch features, delicious baked goods, the best coffee beverages in town, and a lovely outdoor patio! This is a must try, you will definitely be returning. Hands down Port colborne's best café.
If you arent picky about what you get to eat then this is the place. They have a daily special and thats it, but what you get is great homemade food! Family run, very friendly and fantastic bakery goods! Also sell flowers and plants. Nice little patio for outdoor lunch or eat inside the old home turned cafe. Highly recommend!
