I could post a rating rather commonly understood about the excellent menu and superior quality of their product but I would add that a lot of the weight carried at this location is established by the individual consumers and community surrounding in itself. In a location not far from a winter warming center for the homeless, and in need, that I myself utilized the night before, I had that same experience. The coffee counter was dirty and appeared to have gone without cleaning for several days. I visited at 7:30 am and noticed that there were no sugar packets available. I overheard the staff telling another customer they were out, yet there was still at least a quarter cup of spilled sugar where the packets should have been. The counter was messy, with spills everywhere, and the area behind the main counter looked disorganized. I believe they need to improve their cleanliness and organization.
This restaurant was fantastic in the past, but now it's quite disappointing. The bagels are subpar, the service is awful, and the staff seems like they’d rather be anywhere else. We make an effort to visit every few months, hoping for improvement, but each time we leave saying, “never again.” Today was our last visit, and this time “never again” really means it. It’s a pity to see this place go downhill like this.
Too busy to even take anybody’s orders I’ll never go back to that location again. Not to mention the lot was so small you couldn’t find a single place to park it was absolutely crazy. I really love this restaurant. Even though they have a limited menu, I appreciate it because it means they can make the dishes quickly and maintain consistent quality. I have tried the smoked salmon bagel twice now, and it is a generous portion for the price. The twice baked hashbrown cakes are also delicious. This is now our go-to spot for bagels.
Disappointing experience, staff was not engaged and took about 15 minutes to make a egg sandwich. Then proceed to make the food for a patron that came after us before they gave us ours.
