A hidden gem,in West blackhall St, what a find this was. Good interior with great furnishings and friendly staff,we ordered breakfast just before the cut-off point of 1200,big portions with not so big prices!!! I don't know where you will get a full breakfast ,all the good stuff, for under £8. Plenty other breakfast items on the menu, if not a big appetite. Fully licensed, and operates ,breakfast, lunch, and evening meal, with a great selection at all servings, with all the classics on the menu. Staff were on hand without being too fussy,very pleasant. Will need to be back soon, too. Try something else.
Popped in for breakfast which I used to really enjoy, always had the vegetarian breakfast, over cooked egg, beans and potato scone pretty awful, tiny amount of avocado and poached egg undercooked which had to be returned to kitchen, so disappointed as used to enjoy a balfe breakfast.
Great establishment with lots of offerings on the menu. Was very busy when we visited. Food was prepared quickly, was tasty and plentiful and very reasonably priced. Asparagus soup and toasted Cajun chicken sandwich were delicious.
Had the ballet burger and chunky chips. Chips were delicious but burger I found tasteless, even added salt to it but no improvement. Left half of it.

Great portions of tasty food. Nice, friendly staff. Good variety of choices on the menu. It's always a pleasure to dine at Cafe Balfe.
