I stopped by the Blue Bird for a refreshing drink on the bank holiday. The service was quick and courteous. My partner and I both ordered tropical smoothies, as they had run out of ingredients for the berry version. Our drinks were served in plastic cups with paper straws. While the smoothies were delicious, I felt they lacked some fruit pieces, and the price was on the higher side for what I expected. Overall, though, I was pleased with my visit to the Blue Bird.
We ordered speck sandwiches to eat in and took some cake to go. The food was absolutely delicious. It was a bit pricey, but the location was perfect, right by the lake and conveniently next to the ferry port and boat rental. The staff was friendly and provided speedy service. It’s an ideal spot for a quick stop before heading out on our boat.
I visited the Bluebird Café for a quick bite while waiting for my boat change, and it turned out to be one of the highlights of my trip. I enjoyed a delicious bratwurst, cranberry, and speck toastie, along with the best brownie I’ve ever had—it melted in my mouth! I wish I could have stayed longer, but I had to leave after a few hours.
