We also tried the Thai Lettuce Wraps, which we had to assemble ourselves. There was hardly any chicken in them, and they were just okay. On the other hand, the Boardwalk Fries were delicious. For his main dish, my partner had a Poke Bowl, but he found it bland and tasteless—nothing special at all.
I ordered the Filet Mignon with Fingerling Potatoes and carrots. I requested it to be cooked medium, but it came out rare. The potatoes lacked flavor, and the carrots were equally bland. The steak had no seasoning either. Overall, it was just disappointing.

Our friends who live above this location invited to dinner here. It just reopened after change in ownership with a new menu. The atmosphere was very nice and the service warm and friendly. We started with a pitcher of sangria that tasted like an autumn day...fresh crisp. For appetizer we had the wings that came with freshly made real blue cheese...so good! We all enjoyed our entrees (pesto pasta, vodka sauce pasta, burger, fried chicken)...not the actual dish name...and the dishes were nice size servings. Overall it met all my criteria...atmosphere, service, drinks, food, value. Metered parking but after 6pm it's free. PS next time I'll take pictures, because we will be back.
I've been rooting for the Cap Diner, because Hackensack definitely needs a cool, modern place for good food, drinks and a vibe. They do well on several levels: the place looks great (including big open windows in the front and outdoor dining) the bar is nice (good selection, including some great local beer) and from what I've heard, the food is good. What's missing for me is more vegan options. They used to have a veggie burger, which for some reason was taken off the menu, so now the only vegan options are French fries or a basic salad. Come on guys, it's 2022! At least give us a veggie burger!
Was looking for a diner. Saw that this place had reopened. Never went to it before. Nice decor. Very sleek. Radio music playing. Didn't understand the multi tvs displaying a streaming device loop of programs but nothing playing. I guess maybe they have games on some times? Menu is not expansive. Very limited in options. Buttermilk Fried chicken sandwich was tasty. Liked the slaw they had with it. Housemade chips were good. Friend had a burger said it had good seasoning. Service was friendly and attentive.

Our waitress, Tiffany, was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and extremely helpful. I really enjoyed the warm pretzel appetizer, while my parents loved the chicken soup. For my main course, I had the truffle mac and cheese appetizer, and it was absolutely delicious. My parents shared the poke bowl and the cavatappi à la vodka for dinner, and they thoroughly enjoyed both. Overall, we had a delightful evening out and I will definitely be back!
I had an amazing experience at this restaurant! The service was outstanding, and the fish and chips were excellent. Both the salad and soup were spot on. Our waitress, Tiffany, was fantastic and made everything even better. To top it all off, the cookie dessert was absolutely fabulous.
So the restaurant looks amazing, food is delicious but the staff is the worst. Place is always empty because the service is horrible. They should remove everyone food and teach them how to greet/approach people with positive energy. They should just remove the waiters and hosts
This place was a last minute choice with my family. The staff was extremely friendly which was great, but the food and drinks were not so great. This was our first time here and of course our last. Your better off going to Olive Garden.

Trash. My friend said there was a fly in her drink and the manager tried to say they bought a new one. Lie to someone else. The glass and the bug are sitting right here.
CLOSED FOR RENOVATIONS (or at least it was on 8/27/22 when I stopped here) I wish people would update their Yelp listings when they close.
