Captain's Choice Fish And Chips

I hadn’t been to this local fish and chip shop for some years and left very disappointed. Compared to two other shops in the area the fish are smaller portions the 4 potato cakes we received were small with no extra (because they’re small) and the $6 minimum chips was appalling. The other two shops, one further out down Canterbury Rd or the one on Mitcham Road are far better value.. Service: Take out

It is a lucky dip. You never know if you will get the right order or if it will be under or over cooked. I complained only once (for overcooked fish missing potato cakes). No offer of free or discounted next order. When I said to the owner I was disappointed, she responded whatever! I will not return. Place an order at your own risk. The best souvlakis in the eastern suburbs! The portions are generous and the quality is top-notch. The meat pieces are delicious and it's great value for money. My partner and I have to get these souvlakis at least once a week, we're obsessed hahahaha. Highly recommended! Réservez une table maintenant

The former owner was excellent and kept the restaurant very clean. The overall experience was better before, especially with the meat dishes not being as good as they used to be.
