Caravella has been around for many years and through different owners but I was pleased at this most recent trip. The service was good and quick, and the food was good. This is a certainly one of the better Italian places in Mayen – good...enough to host professional business lunches. The service was formal with good presentation and all food arriving simultaneously and efficiently and crisply presented. The portions were a decent size and sufficiently flavourful. They had good quality ingredients in the melons with ham and garlic shrimps. The vitello tonatto was also well made and of a good standard. TOP Empfehlung ! Wir haben einen neuen Lieblingsitaliener. Man sitzt sehr schön und die Dekoration hat viel Liebe zum Detail. Warme und angenehme Atmosphäre. Der Service freundlich, präsent und zuvorkommend aber nicht aufdringlich. Ein Familienbetrieb mit Klasse und absoluten Gastronomischen-Fachkenntnissen. Die Nudeln werden selbst gemacht und auch der Fisch oder das Fleisch hat eine gute Qualität. Alles war sehr lecker. Sauber und sehr ordentlich geführtes Restaurant indem man sich wirklich wohlfühlen kann. Auch die Weine sollten Sie probieren. Ab und an wird auch eine Weinprobe an einem Sonderöffnungstag angeboten. Einfach eine TOP Empfehlung
The food was good but they don't give your money back when you pay. They do not give you a chance to give a tip, cause they assume that when you pay, you already give a tip...we had to pay euros, we gave never saw the rest of the money back...we didn't want to argue, since it was not worth it....hence...this bad review...so for future customers: make sure you have the correct amount of money with you if you don't want to pay too much without being given the chance to tip.
The first time we had been here with a old, and when my wife wanted to change diapers and they didn’t have a table they organized one in one of the bathrooms. That is customer service! Rest of the stay they made everything else...possible as well! Really great. Oh and the food is great too. Just the many plates you get, since they use one per side dish, can make the table crowded and in my opinion they could as well serve sides on the main plate.
Der zweite Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Dies ist wirklich sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Service war super. Wir wurden freundlich begrüßt. Der sehr junge Service Mitarbeiter war super höflich und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir hatten einen Hähnchensalat. Dieser sah fantastisch aus und war sehr lecker. Dazu Nudeln. Diese Portion war etwas klein. Der Nachtisch war auch perfekt. Kartenzahlung möglich. Klare Empfehlung für Mayen.
