Word around Essex County is that Montclair is getting a bit expensive and the newer restaurants are opening in Bloomfield where my partner's colleague recommended this fusion BYOB establishment located on Broad Street. Reservation is highly recommended on weekends as it's a small store front establishment with 11 tables where my partner, our friends and I came for dinner yesterday. I live not too far around the corner from this place and I'm ashamed to admit that, by the time I finally made it here for the first time, they had been open for almost two years. Clearly, I've been missing out. We stopped in for a late lunch/early dinner on a Saturday afternoon and were the only customers in the joint, but we were VERY early for dinner, and while eating, our attentive server was putting out reserved signs on the tables. It's a pleasure to return to a restaurant that we had not been back to in a few years due to a move) and find it as good as we remembered. The food was excellent. Started with a spicy, tasty mussels appetizer and Caesar salad. Had a delicious short rib entree over spinach mashed potatoes and husband had scallops over risotto. A really good neighborhood restaurant which we will be returning to.
Went here today and food and atmosphere was very pleasing. Started off with lobster bisque wish was very delicious. Tuna tartar 3 way was very good placed. Calamari was good nothing spectacular. Main courses had Filet Mignon Swordfish both were very satisfying. Small establishment but the food makes up for it. Also it is a BYOB.

Top of the line bistro! High quality home made hole in the wall. The flavors were bold and unique. The chef welcomed us and treated us like we were family. He truly poured his soul into his food! The place is SO clean and it feels like I'm sitting in my grandmas living room!
Absolutely delicious all around. The service was friendly and timely. Portions substantial , price point affordable for us, party of 7 and will recommend to all I know. We will be back as putt go to place from now on. Thank you Daisy and Chef
