We went there twice, for breakfast and dinner. We came from the flight from LA and just wanted to have coffee and toast. We got charged the full breakfast!!! That was strike one. Then we went for dinner. My wife had an eggplant chickpea curry which had no eggplant and was completely boring, tasteless. Strike two. The worst was the margarita pizza: the dough was not cooked. We send the pizza back to get it cooked some more. So the bottom was now tough and no longer transparent but it was still not cooked through. I didn’t know one could screw up a pizza so badly!! By the way, this Italian restaurant does not offer pasta. Or risotto. Amazing or better underwhelming! On the plus side the server...
It was the second time we had dinner at this restaurant. The salmon I had was perfectly cooked, and I even had the skin as well. I usually leave any fish skin, but it was really crispy, and well scaled off. I had rose water panna cotta for the dessert, and it was absolutely refreshing in my mouth. It was like eating lots of fresh creamy roses at the same time. Brekky buffet was very good too. A nice range of favourites on the bench. No disappointments. I would suggest this place for someone who wants a nice and quiet place to eat, and for a proper great meal before the flight. All the staff were very cheerful, and great attentive service. The price is a bit more expensive than you think. But...
A friend treated me to dinner at the Catalina Restaurant at the weekend. She had been unable to make a booking on line, and being a Saturday night, we did have to wait around 15 minutes for an available table. However, we enjoyed a glass of wine in the bar while we waited. Once seated at our table, the waiter was most attentive and polite. He gave us the menu, which was quite comprehensive with so many delicious sounding meals to choose from. We had different meals, and were both thrilled with the food and it’s presentation. We even indulged in a dessert each, and once again, were pleased with our individual choices. I would certainly recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Not joking! I have eaten salmon in many restaurants and never had it cooked so perfectly. Particularly as I like it well done not 'raw ' like all the TV chefs seem to think is perfect. It was beautifully moist with lovely crispy skin. Thank you, chef. Our other meals were the Vietnamese beef curry. Lovely flavour, but beef just a tad chewy. Pork belly waas cooked well, but crispy skin a tad too salty for me (and I love my salt). We 've been ordering room service, so do miss out on the daily specials, which would mix things up a bit. Staff were happy for us to order off the main menu too, which was a bonus. Order and delivery time was excellent.

There is a wide selection of food to choose from, most of which is/has a gluten free option. There are both hearty, heavier dishes to choose from as well as light, healthy dishes. I opted for sautéed mushrooms and tofu, and the gluten free version of the mocha cheesecake (?). Both were absolutely delicious!The restaurant was very busy, about 7:30pm on a Sunday, but the staff were attentive and helpful. I ate here before heading to the airport for a late night flight. Novotel is a little out of the way, so I wouldn't expect or suggest dining at this restaurant unless staying at the hotel or on the way to the airport.
This restaurant gave us the best service I've had in an Australian restaurant for a long time, Holly, you were extra pleasant and very welcoming you must be a very valued employee. The lady chief I spoke to about poached eggs, you were right! Two minutes longer and I've nailed them, thank you all so much for 5 very enjoyable meals
Have dined here before and the standard has not changed. The service was good and menu selection ideal. A good selection of wines available as well. We were both very happy with our meals which were delivered in promptly and were delicious.
Food done just the way we ordered and our host, Marc, was excellent at his craft. His recommendations, conversation, and humor really allowed my wife and I to have a most enjoyable evening before a long travel.

Located at the Novotel Brisbane Airport this is a great restaurant for an easy buffet breakfast before boarding your flight. Great range. Reasonable price. No complaints
