I have been going to CAV for over twenty years, and I have to admit that it factored heavily in my search for a location for The Providence Institute (next building over was as close as I could get). It’s a groovy neighborhood. The restaurant is filled with beautiful, mostly Asian and African antiques, all of which are for sale. Most of the staff are artists but have been working there for a ling, long time. They are as close to real professionals as you will find in this town. Very very good food. I like the spicy taste of the mussels and pasta dish ! The squid was equally good too nice kick to it . The bread was fresh and the butter was fine . Great decor too lots of nice pieces . Staff was friendly and quick to serve . A good ratio of services people to customers one for drinks , easier for order and delivery and bus person to take away dishes. Good water refills. Good parking quick and easy waik. People who were dinning were friendly too made for a good atmosphere

I travel all over the world for business and have a large customer that I see in Providence twice a year. We make it a point to meet here for both brunch and dinner....by day and night completely different ambiances. This place is one of kind and truly magical. The menu is large, eclectic and has something for everyone. Don't listen to any negative reviews (most likely because they're too busy) and check it out for yourself.....I guarantee you won't be disappointed!

I have been here several times for brunch and decided to have my baby shower here. Just had it yesterday and it was absolutely amazing, the staff was incredible, the decor is great because there’s very little you need to do to decorate if any at all, I only brought a few balloons and a cake. All my guests loved the vibe of restaurant and of course the food was fantastic. Highly recommend for any private event!!

Thank you to the staff at Cav for their exceptional service for Lauren and Matt's wedding. Sylvia passed away only days before, but Jeffrey and Jason took care of every detail in spectacular manner. The food was delicious and the room was absolutely gorgeous. The night was pure magic!
