Central Texas Style Bbq

Sunday 2pm: Just a grimey dirty place with tough overcooked meats, bad service. I could hardly explain my order to the cooks no one spoke English. Can't describe how tough and gross the brisket and sausage was. Super tough overcooked casing and the brisket tasted like it had been precut and sat under a heat lamp for 2 days. The meat had a dry glaze over it as though it had been sitting in the open air for days. Probably sliced it the night before and served us the previous days leftover reheated. How do you mess up macaroni and cheese? The best way I could descrive it is a soupy cheese soup with noodles that have been cooking since the previous day. We have eaten here in the past. Today, I had a turkey leg, which is only available on the weekends. It was good, but it was dry. Next time, I will probably have the sliced turkey. We also had a loaded baked potato, which is always good! I had a peach cobbler as well. It was good, but I felt it was too sweet. I know, it's supposed to be sweet, but I couldn't finish it. My son and I love to come here after practice for sausage and macaroni. The food is always on point. And tonight they even have a live guitar player that's amazing. What a wonderful place! This was a true Texas BBQ experience! Being vegan I could never imagine finding VEGAN bbq. Especially down south. The Vegan baked potato with pulled bbq was so yummy.Really big portion and definitely gave all of the bbq feelings. Recommend this place ! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
